Superior Accomplishment Awards

This program recognizes staff members who contribute outstanding and meritorious service, efficiency and/or economy, or to the quality of life provided to students and employees. Recognition by one’s peers is the highest point of achievement. Division-level award recipients receive cash awards of $200 each, then compete for university-level awards, which offer eight $1,000 and eight $2,000 cash awards. Learn More

TaxWatch Productivity Awards

TaxWatch Productivity Awards

A joint effort of the Florida TaxWatch, the Florida Council of 100, and the State of Florida, the TaxWatch Productivity Awards are presented annually to honor state government employees throughout Florida who have significantly increased productivity in delivering state services and products. The program presents cash awards ranging from $200 to $2,750 as well as commemorative plaques, and certificates of commendation. Learn More

Service Recognition Program

Service Recognition Program

The UF Office of the President and UFHR are pleased to sponsor the Service Recognition Program, which honors staff with at least five years of continuous service. The program, introduced in 2019, is an expansion of the former "Service Pin Program," recognizing TEAMS and USPS employees for five-year increments of continuous service, based on their most recent date of hire. Meritorious Service Awards

Meritorious Service Awards

This award is designed to recognize the outstanding service of long-time employees retiring from the University of Florida. To be eligible for this award, employees must have at least 10 years of service with the university and be retiring from employment. Employees will receive a certificate, suitable for framing, which will be signed by the vice president of the employee’s area or college and by the president. Learn More

President's Medallion

President's Medallion

A two-and-a-half-inch medal, this award is given for outstanding service or contribution to the university. Examples of individuals receiving the award include the Teacher/Scholar of the Year, Distinguished Service Professors and Administrative Council members upon retirement, and other individuals inside and outside the university who have given outstanding service or contributions to the university and deserve special recognition. The President’s Medallion is awarded by the President and recommendations may be made by any member of the university community to the President, but the President may also seek a vice presidential recommendation. University Medallion

University Medallion

A two-inch medal, this award is given for significant service and loyalty to the university. Examples of individuals receiving this award include faculty upon their retirement from tenured positions with at least ten years of service, and other university employees and members of the university community who exhibited significant service and loyalty to the university. The University Medallion is awarded by the President and recommendations may be made by any member of the university community to the President, but the President may also seek a vice presidential recommendation.
